Review: This Garmin Nuvi 250 sat nav is a useful back-up but I have found that it can take up to 15 minutes to locate a satellite, in which case you need a fairly clear idea of where you should be heading towards when setting out on your journey. It has also let me down on several occasions when it loses sateliite reception. This usually occurs in built up areas when I am in dire need of clear unambiguous directions. I came out of Amsterdam last weekend and it took me 4 and a half hours to complete what should have been a significantly shorter journey due to frequent loss of satellite at critical moments. I'm afraid that I wouldn't recommend this. A colleague bought a similarly priced Tom Tom at the same time as I bought my Garmin Nuvi 250 sat nav, and hers is far more reliable.
