Review: I've had the Nuvi 310 for a couple of months now, and I can honestly say that it is a very good bit of kit. To echo the other reviews here, it is well-built, easy to use and extremely versatile for people who spend a lot of time on the road.
The screen is clear and precise; the maps, though not always perfect what with all the new roads being built, are detailed and rarely will you find yourself "lost in space."
The bluetooth system is excellent. I have a K700i which, although not listed on the unit as compatible, pairs up perfectly to allow access to pretty much all the phone info. This includes phonebook, SMS messaging (which can even be typed on the touch-screen) and even battery status. The only problem, as Ronnie Marath said below, is the voice dialling which I haven't been able to get to work (maybe my phone.)
Despite several independent sources claiming the the mp3 function is of poor quality, (there are some very low-quality samples built-in, which do sound rubbish) I find that reproduction of my own mp3s is exceptionally good.
My only gripes: voice control, no in-home charger, slow USB connection, small built-in memory (though it is compatible with 4GB SD Cards,) manual POI setting is limited.
All in all, a great driving companion if you're on the road a lot. |
