Review: Hewlett Packard have always been renowned for producing quality printers and the Deskjet 940c is no exception. Boasting 2400 x 1200 dpi photo quality output, it's results put some far more expensive printers to shame. Printing at the highest resolution is a bit on the slow side, but for a small drop in quality the printer can use PhotoREt technology to produce photos of adequate quality. Text output is also excellent with no blurred edges and a resolution of 600 x 600 dpi. The printer comes supplied with some good entry level software for the digital camera or scanner user, and while the enthusiast would want more from their software, it represents a good easy to use introduction. Overall well worth 5 stars, suitable for anyone who only needs output to A4 size, and excellent value for money. |
