| Review Summary: Camcorder plagued with terrible video quality - avoid! |

Review: I wanted to get into camcorder recording and thought a hard disk camcorder would be great to get footage to my computer without the hastle of using miniDV tapes. Well, that part was true enough but video quality is absolutely appalling. The images are washed out terribly, and lots of detail is lost or becomes 'whitened' out. I often felt that my mobile phone could take better quality footage...
If you've got this kind of budget, get the Panasonic NV-GS300 instead. It's not currently available here at Amazon (sort this out please Amazon) but you can pick is up at PurelyGadgets.com. Until great quality hard disk camcorders come out at around the £500 price point, stick to miniDV for best results. |
