Review: This JVC Everio GZ-MG505EK camcorder combines a camcorder and stills camera in one. The video quality is excellent from such a tiny thing. The video quality is great and the convinience on the hard disc is great...just plug into the usb 2.0 of your computer and its just like a portable hard drive. The video files are called .mod files but bizarrely all you need to do is rename the file as .mpg and it works fine! I haven't used the supplied software for video editing but it's a stripped down version of Cyberlink's Power Director software. For stills it takes an SD card so it is just like a normal camera.
