Review: I have one of these JVC GR-DVP9 camcorders. Agree with above (or below) reviewer. Excellent camcorder for convenience and portability and unobtrusive filming. However I am dissapointed with colour reproduction. I had a JVC-DVP3 model before this one. Despite being an older model, the colour reproduction was much better on my old camera. The dvp9 is a lot sharper than previous models, but still suffers from poor performance in low light. This is inevitable with the small lens. Nightscope is rubbish, basically. Too blurry. On the whole though, a bargin. But I did get mine in Singapore for five hundred quid, so can't complain really. Probably wouldn't buy one for more than six hundred, 'cos you can get a canon one with better optics for that price, with only slightly bigger size. |
