Review: I bought my F20 sat nav system, plugged it in and within just a few minutes a signal was found and my location shown.
I've tested it on familiar and unfamiliar routes and am very pleased with it. It gives ample notice of forthcoming junctions via a voice prompt which is repeated as junctions are approached. The screen also shows turnings via a direction icon in the top left corner of the screen, on the scrollling map itself and on the text bar at the top of screen making it almost impossible to either miss a turn or get lost. However, should an incorrect route be taken then it takes only seconds for the F20 to pick up a new route to the destination. Other features include indicating your travelling speed, estimated time of arrival at your destination, optional alerts for speed cameras and you can set your own speed limit alerts.
I note some users report issues with the volume level and I wonder if they have missed the volume adjustment?? I set mine to 4 (on a scale of 8) and this is fine for me in my van which tends to be noisier and more rattly than a car!
My only gripe is it the package doesn't include either a carrying case or mains charger - but the other brands don't either!
I am very pleased with my F20 and highly recommend it.
