Review: This Philips 23" 23PF4321/01 is a great HDTV and it comes for very good money too! The size is also very good. GREAT BUY!
The only problem I had was with the delivery: CITY LINK... I ordered the television and wanted it delivered the next day (Express service by 2pm next day delivery). City Link passed, but the driver never rung the bell and left a card and I did not move from the house ALL MORNING. As it was a Saturday I had to wait 'till the Monday to speak with someone to have it redelivered (as the telephone number on the card was not working during the weekend - N.B. there is though another number one can ring on Saturdays too, it's just very difficult to find and IT IS NO WHERE on the card they leave!). When I phoned on the Monday morning City Link accused me of lying when I said that on the Saturday no one rung the bell for delivery, further they said that they had already put the parcel for redelivery that day and when I told that I wouldn't have been home all morning and if they could redeliver in the afternoon they said that that it was not possible to guarantee. As a result when I got back in the early afternoon I had a second attempt delivery card waiting there for me. I phone straightaway to complain and to arrange for a THIRD delivery and they said that I could not arrange a third delivery and that AMAZON should have authorized for another delivery. I phoned AMAZON and then City Link again, rearranged a delivery and told that I was gonna be away the afternoon so if they could deliver the next day in the morning. Once again they told that that was not possible to guarantee, but it was down to the driver and the way he was planning the journey. No one came in the morning and when I was back in the evening there was no card either. I phoned City Link again and they said that having passed 5 days they had sent the item back to Amazon. I phoned Amazon and they said that they would have sent a second parcel and waited for the first to go back to them. The next thing, on the monday (10 days from the original delivery day) City Link delivered the FIRST television!! (the one that was supposed to have gone back to Amazon!) and the day after they tried to deliver the SECOND television that Amazon sent (even though I did ask for it NOT TO BE DELIVERED by City Link!) and complained when I did not accept the parcel. I wrote to City Link complaining and they have been very polite in their reply. I still think though that their service is a NON SERVICE and there are many other people that have had a very bad experience with them. [see as example: [...] |
