Review: Coming out of the box this Philips 26PFL5522D 26" TV looks great. It has a shiny black lacquered border which leads to a stylish silver tapered body. It has a auto install facility which means you will be up and running in minutes. However the picture quality is unremarkable. The picture is by no means poor but compared to my Hitachi 7200 and my panasonic TX-32LXD70 It fails to impress despite the hype. There is a huge improvement in picture quality with digital sources which is what one would expect however the picture enhancement modes lacks the WOW factor. A pretty good set but there are a lot of sets in this price range which will give you a lot more bang for your buck.
