Review: I have now had this Philips 26PFL5522D TV for about two months, and I am not disappointed. I took a gamble buying this TV as I could not find much info on it but luckily it worked out good. The weakest points of this set are probably the sound (not that I use the inbuilt speakers anyway. Why spend so much on a TV and let the sound ruin the experience when surround sound systems can be found cheaply) also the motion handling could be better but as I have learnt this should improve if using a HD source which I am not. The TV looks great and the remote does not let it down, the features are fine however a few more picture tweaking abilities in the menus would have been nice. The picture is bright and sharp and with movies normally you don't notice the motion handling it's only a problem with some sports so not a really problem. My favourite thing about this TV is its black levels and any one who has look at different lcd's knows this can be a big problem, with some sets the black just look dark blue not what I wanted and lucky this TV delivers. The connectivity is good and its base is a nice glass one which I didn't expect, so over all I'm very pleased and would recommend. |
