Review: The Pure EVOKE-2XT DAB radio offers amazing bass, volume and overall quality from a small box. But if you prefer your music on FM, as I do, check the volume available. My set is the earlier Evoke 2, not the XT, and its FM is rather quiet compared to DAB. When I emailed Evoke they blamed low volume on the broadcasters. As an ex-BBC man I know this is not the explanation. If you'll only use DAB, don't hesitate - the set is splendid. |
