Review: Had this Samsung LE32R87 widescreen HD ready lcd Tv for a few weeks now and have to say I am quite disappointed.. As without an HD source for pictures this technology is only so so. My main gripes are that I've been duped by the hype and the amazing shop/showroom pictures - which are of course all HD images, but when you use it for SD and Freeview you see all the flaws. The ghosting and pixilating are the most annoying, and yes I've upgraded all my cables. These sets were designed for an HD source which isnt available yet unless you spend hundreds more on HD/Blu ray players and DVD's. As for upscaling, I was told by well known high street dealer that this is just a gimmick and not to bother using it! ( on my new DVD player ), So yes the set looks great - when it's switched off! on the plus side the sound I find to be ok and mine attracts very little dust unlike other's reviews, tho that's no big deal anyway. I wished I'd saved my money and waited until HD is available to all not just on SKY. All in all I would say LCD pictures on this set are accurate in colour but very undetailed, with motion blur the most annoying aspect.
