Review: After many months of searching the net and doing my homework, i decided to buy into the SAMSUNG range of HD LCD TVs. I wanted to spend about a grand on the technology to use with my XBOX 360. Now within the Neo Mosel range you have the M73 (100hz which makes standard dvds/films look amazing in clarity by increasing the reaction time i.e no blur!!MASSIVE IMPROVEMENT - great for nature films and or fast moving like football) N73 (XWCD extended wide colour gamut i.e just reli bright!!) both the N73 and M73 have the same contrast ratio (which is so much better than any other HD LCD around the market.it is very bright (500cd) and will hurt your eyes if you dont blink during Gears of War :) The other model being the F71 which is blueray ready 1080p but the other two get 720p or 1080i (which is fine because XBOX 360 is HD and not blueray. Now you could just got to samsungs web site and get all this info but what i want to tell you is that the 100hz makes all the difference. if the F71 had 100hz i would of got that one but is around £300 more (get the F71 if you are intending to buy a PS3!!!. The sound is ok. I have my own 5.1 system connected to the tv.i find the tvs sound is best used when the parents start complaining about the base. the connectivity is excellent giving you 2x HDMI and standard s-video.i would say this is a must for gammers and film fans. i bought the 40 inch which is just fantastic but it hurts my eyes if you have a grand to spend then get it!!!
p.s when looking into the LCD market look out for connectivity/brightness/contrast/responce time and if your a pixel freak then if its 720p (HD) or 1080p (blueray)
ENJOY!!!
