Review: Pros:
This 32" Sanyo CE32LDY1 HD ready LCD tv has a number of great features, and is probably one of the best looking 32" LCD on the market at the moment. The picture from external sources such as DVD are excellent, the picture quality from the integrated freeview is quite good, though you will need to personalise the picture settings to give you the best picture. The hard drive recorder is very useful, and works well.
Cons:
The EPG (freeview program guide) is not very easy to navigate but the biggest bad point of this TV is that they have chosen to put a fan just below the hard drive to cool it, and the fan makes a very distracting sound. For instance loud enough to be distracting whilst watching a film at a reasonable volume. This would have been a 4 star TV if not for this, it really is that distracting. When I enquired about this, SANYO mentioned that just that week another gentleman had rung with the same problem, so it doesn't look as though the problem was a one off.
Also when the TV was delivered to me all of the polystyrene packaging in the sealed box was broken, as though it was already a returned product.
So I'm returning this item and hopefully Amazon will live up to their 30 day money back guarantee.
