Review: I didn't get on with this Sony BRAVIA KDLS-32A12U 32" TV at all. The reported viewing angle, which is probably true for bright colours, is not the case for near-blacks. I found that, as soon as you move a few degrees off, the near-blacks being displayed start to appear more colourful, producing a bizzare and distracting effect, especially close to the black cut-off point. For most colorful films/shows, you wouldn't notice this at all, but as soon as the scene becomes dark it becomes distracting. You are then left with the choice between fiddling with the brightness/contrast to lift the level of the darkest colors, to avoid the saturation point, or return the TV to vendor and get a different model. I took the TV back. |
