Review: I wanted a point and shoot camera that had good quality pictures, widescreen and surround sound features. I also wanted HD quality pictures but that was out of my price range so this Sony DCR-DVD505E camcorder was the nearest to that I could get. It hasn't disappointed. The camera is a piece of cake to use and the quality is great. Haven't tried the surround sound out a huge amount at the moment but I look forward to creating that 'cinema style home movie' shortly. Recording to mini DVD is a great way of keeping movies for those of us not interested in dumping them to PC and editing. Let's face it - the majority of us want point, shoot, watch technology and this gives you that. Would recommend to anyone. buy one!
