Review: This Sony HDR-SR1 camera is really nice. The video quality is brilliant.

Currently, you cannot edit the AVCHD hi-def video clips on any major video editing software.

However, you can set the camera to Standard definition mode and you get an mpeg file which you can edit.

The video quality is good in standard definition too. Hopefully the major apps will soon support AVCHD.

Some nice things... you can take up to two photos whilst filming at the same time! With flash!

The photos that this takes are also very reasonable. You could use this to take fairly decent still photos. The touch screen is also very intuitive and easy to use.

With no running costs whatsoever, this Sony HDR-SR1 camera is very nice.
