Review: Got my Tomtom 910 this morning. It worked for five minutes. As suggested I installed the recommended update. Very, very bad move. I then spent eight hours trying to get the thing to work again, and made numerous calls to Tomtom without success. The most important accessory you will need for this unit, which is not included is... a paperclip. I think I must have reset the thing about fifty times.
Finally they suggested I return it to the place I bought it, which isn't great as it was bought mail order and I wanted it for a trip tomorrow. The guy at the mail order company said that they had had loads returned for the same reason.
The five minute glimpse I got looked great, and I almost feel as though I should try with another unit, but having spent a whole day trying to get the first one to work, I think I am going to have to try something else.
This Tom Tom Go 910 Worldwide car sat nav is not worth the hassle. |
